God does not need our praise, but we need to praise God, and because He knows the blessing that can be ours through that praise, we are admonished to do just that.

This two-part study entitled “Show forth his salvation from day to day” reveals to us the joy that can be ours in the Lord, as we die daily and live unto Him, through faith (1Co 15:31 , Gal 2:20). The joyful consequence of that loving relationship brings us to praise him for the wonderful works that He accomplishes within his creation as he deals “with the sons of men” (Psa 107:31)

1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Psa 107:31 Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!

There are so many verses used in this Psalm to describe the praise that we are admonished to bring unto God, as we come to know His power working in our lives which gives us the ability to overcome all things through Christ.

Here’s a short list of some of those thoughts that help us learn to appreciate the grandeur of our all powerful and all knowing Father who is “for us” (Rom 8:31).

• O sing unto the LORD
• Sing unto the LORD, bless his name
• Declare his glory among the heathen
• give unto the LORD glory and strength
• O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness

Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

With that knowledge of how great God is as our helper and the author and finisher of our faith through Christ, we grow in our ability to see that “the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods” (verse 4).

We declare God’s glory among the heathen, both within and without and among all people, when we die daily; and that process of dying daily is the gift that God gives his people so that we can be more than conquerors through Christ (Rom 8:37).

Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

This particular Psalm truly focuses on the praise that God is worthy of, for the wonderful works that He is accomplishing for the sons of men, as he humbles us and brings us into this profound relationship of fearing God and working righteousness, which is what we are called unto (Psa 107:31 , Ecc 12:13).

Psa 107:31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
