Psalm 54 “Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength”

The study with Psalm 54 is now available here.

In this study we learn that God saves us through judgement which is made possible through his Word which He sends, as described in Psalm 107:20.

Psa 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

The strangers that are spoken of in this Psalm 54 are revealed to be closer to ‘home’ than we understand at first. They are the Philistines (the uncircumcised amongst us and within us) that are used to oppress and ‘smelt’ the elect today, who are in a process of being made more precious than the gold of Ophir (Isa 13:12)

Isa 13:12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
