Every time I look into your Holy Words
I pray that you will open my eyes
So another piece of me will die
And Christ will be more alive.

The glory of this temple will soon fade away
And God alone can build it again
Lord I’ve thrown up my hands in defeat
I know I could never win, without that:

Blessed Day! When our Lord will reign
Blessed Day! When our Lord will reign

So we keep on fighting a good fight of faith
And build each other up with love
Strong enough to cast out all our fears
And wipe away each other’s tears

And one day in a moment, twinkling of an eye
We’ll see our Lord face to face
Glory to the God in the highest
And peace to the human race!
