Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God (Isa 40:1)

1       Isa 34:1, Isa 35:3-4
Come near, ye nations, let the earth hear, and all that’s in the world
Strengthen your weak hands, confirm weak knees Say to the fearful: Be strong

2       Isa 32:1-4, Isa 35:5
A king shall reign in righteousness,
princes rule in judgment    blind eyes and deaf ears opened     stammerers shall be ready to speak

3      Isa 40:5
the glory of the LORD       revealed; all flesh shall see       for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken

4        Isa 35:8
And an highway  shall be there  a Way called holiness;
the unclean shall not cross over; yet we fools shall not go astray

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD,
He giveth power to the faint; they shall mount up as with eagles’ wings

I am the LORD       Lift up your eyes on high       he calleth them all by names:  strong in power

4      Isa 35:8, 10
no ravenous beast shall go up thereon; ….No lion shall be there;
the ransomed of the LORD shall return;  and obtain joy and be glad,
