This two part study looks closely at how “holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience” is accomplished in the lives of God’s people (1Ti 1:19 , 1Ti 3:9).

1Ti 1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck

1Ti 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

It is not enough to have faith, faith must be tried in the fire (1Pet 1:7) of a lifetime of coming out of the earth, earth, earth (Jer 22:29) through the judgment that is upon God’s people today (1Pe 4:17). It is that judgement that enables us to hear the word of the Lord and come out of Babylon as we learn to examine ourselves whether we are in the faith or not (the world)(Rev 18:4 , 2Co 13:5).

1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Jer 22:29 Earth, earth, earth, hear a word of Yahweh,

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Rev 18:4 And I hear another voice out of heaven, saying, “Come out of her, My people, lest you should be joint participants in her sins, and lest you should be getting of her calamities,

2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

The evil experiences that God gives us to endure in this life humble us (Ecc 1:13) but also prepare us to become kings and priests of our Lord as He softens our hearts and uses those experiences to grow us up in this age (Eze 36:26).

Ecc 1:13 I applied my heart to inquiring and exploring by wisdom concerning all that is done under the heavens:it is an experience of evil Elohim has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.(CLV)

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

We look at the hope of our calling in this study as we focus on the faithfulness of our Holy Father who is dragging us to our Lord the author and finisher of our faith (Joh 6:44 , Heb 12:2). He alone can prepare our hearts to endure through the fiery trials that try our faith, the drinking of the cup that Christ assured his disciples they would be able to drink (Mat 20:23).

Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Mat 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

God forms true humility within His children as He brings them to see that He alone can create the circumstances that humble us, as He works the good and the evil all according to the counsel of His own will and then gives us the strength through Christ to fulfill His will (Isa 45:7 , Eph 1:11 , Php 4:13).

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

He creates the much tribulation (Act 14:22) in our life so that we can continue to be “holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience“. We are being prepared through a process of judgement to be able to judge angels and save the world through Christ, a salvation process that was typified in the life of Joseph (1Co 6:3 , Gen 50:20)

Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Gen 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
