In this two-part study, entitled “I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness” we are shown how God puts us through fiery trials so that our flesh does not glory in that which He does through us (2Co 1:9-10).

2Co 1:9  But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
2Co 1:10  Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

We revisited many fundamental points in regard to how God works with the weak of the world and makes His strength perfect through that weakness so that as His first-fruits we can witness to the world how He is able to bring us unto perfection on the third day through judgement (Luk 13:32).

Luk 13:32  And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

When we come to a point where we are convince of our need for His judgement in order to serve Him, and that it is Christ in us who is working both to will and to do of His good pleasure, in that day (Joh 14:20) we will be able to “praise the LORD according to his righteousness”.

Joh 14:20  At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
