Psalm 73 “Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart”

Our 3-part study with Psalm 73 entitled “Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart” is available here.

It is God’s goodness to gather His people together; and everyone who is dragged to Christ and His body are cleansed in the process or made to have a clean heart.

What we must come to see, and we are promised that we will, is that in order for us to have a “clean heart”, we go through much tribulation; and God shows us clearly in scripture how he will always prepare us for that tribulation: by confirming or strengthening us through the church by each member that supplies.

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1Pe 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Act 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

God’s glory is revealed through much tribulation, and an obedient spirit is formed as we go from glory to glory. This is the clean heart that only God alone can form, and is a process that we are blessed to be a part of in this age as his elect Bride.

It truly is “God [that] is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.” (Psa 73:1)
