We walk with centurion faith, given as a gift from God;
Into fiery trials that test us and create the burnished feet of gold.
We’re not worthy to receive it; help us Father to believe
that Christ alone can save us from ourselves.
Surrounded by a great cloud of witness, let us patiently proceed.
Patterns of the heavenly things found within the temple that we are.
His hand was on the prophets and your spirit moved the ancient scribes
who prophesied salvation that should come to us.
And all of these examples were just types and shadows of the Glory
that will one day come to everyone.
Jesus: Author and Finisher of faith, that’s precious once it’s tried.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and our Lord by their side.
And now we praise our God on high who’s opened up our blinded eyes
and granted us the faith by which we’re saved.
Along with grace that chastens us and teaches us to live the Way
And forsake all ungodliness inside.
