Three years you taught the rich and poor

Lord, I did not heed your Word

You came and begged me at my door

I refused to be disturbed

You healed the sick, the blind, the lame

Oh, Lord, I doubted that You came

I beg You, Lord, don’t let me fall

Please hear my humble call

I denied I ever knew You

Yet You chose to die for me

It was I who spat upon You

On your way to Calvary

You fell three times in agony

Oh, Lord, I had no sympathy

Forgive me, Lord, I gave You gall

Please hear my humble call

In a tomb three days You rested

It surprised me You returned

Show thy wounds, Lord! I requested

Why, Lord, Why had I not learned?

You taught again for forty days

I still refused to mend my ways

Convert me like your servant Paul

Please hear my humble call

And when my faith is failing, Lord

Please help me up, I’m pleading

To die in sin I can’t afford

Your words, from now I’m heeding

I pray for light to see the way

And hope for guidance night and day

I beg you, Lord, don’t let me fall

Please hear my humble call
