Dan 2:31-49 Thou, O king, art a King of Kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory

This last section of chapter two of Daniel is a revelation of who the singular beast of (Rev 13:2) is.

That beast has been hidden from the world because mankind does not understand at this time who the beast is that is being spoken of in both (Ecc 3:18) and (Rev 13:18). The word “man”, in “it is the number of a man” in (Rev 13:1) is the Greek word “anthropos” and means all of mankind.

Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Ecc 3:18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

G444 anthrōpos anth’-ro-pos
From G435 and ὤψ ōps (the countenance; from G3700); manfaced, that is, a human being: – certain, man.

The dream of king Nebuchadnezzar is that of a statue that represents the empires of this world, and in Daniel chapter seven, those sections of the statue are further explained in regard to what they mean, by comparing them to various types of beasts.

The lesson is not to stop at the historical message that connects certain beasts with various parts of the statue, but rather, the greater and hidden message for those who God gives eyes to see and ears to hear, is to learn how all those nations or empires are within us and must be destroyed by the stone that smites the statue on its feet, in the same chapter. That stone represents Christ and his Christ who will be given rulership over the nations of this world, to judge all those who come up in the great white throne judgment.

None of this would be possible unless the saints are first judged in this life, and through this judgement fill up “that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church” (Col 1:24).

Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:
