This last chapter of Malachi is a very transitional book of the bible that tells those who have eyes to see and ears to hear (Mat 13:11 , Rev 3:18) that in order for us to be instruments of righteousness in His hands, we must go through fiery trials and much tribulation in this life (1Pe 4:12 , Act 4:22) that will try our faith, which will become precious (1Pe 1:7) as a result of having our confidence taken away from us in our flesh that is put off as we are drawn to Christ (Joh_6:44) and go without the camp to fill up what is behind of the afflictions of Christ for his bodies sake (Heb 13:12-15 , Col 1:24).
Heb 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Heb 13:13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
Heb 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:
It is without the camp where the day of the Lord is being accomplished through judgement that is upon the house of God now (1Pe 4:17), and described in these terms, “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch”.
The inward application of those verses very few are able to receive (Mat 22:14), and yet those who are blessed to discern the day of visitation, or God’s judgment upon us in this life (Luk 19:44), will know that we must lose this first Adamic life in order to become a new creation that is founded upon a new root and a new branch having had the old one destroyed by a lifetime of dying daily and presenting our bodies a living sacrifice through Christ (Rom 12:1-2).
What God intends to do with the elect is to prepare them as a bride for the bridegroom, and that holy relationship is the one that God has ordained from the foundation of the world to manifest His truth through the church (Eph 3:10-11) so that Christ within us, our hope of glory can then “turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse“.
Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Eph 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
It is through the saviours that come up on mount Zion (Oba 1:21) who have already been judged in this life and have been prepared to be kings and priests that the rest of the world, “his banished” (2Sa 14:14), will be saved as well, “yet so as by fire” (1Co 3:11-15). The earth will be smitten of the Lord at the end of the thousand year rule and reign of the saints (Rev 20:4), and that physical fiery event of having the four corners of the world come up against Christ and his Christ only to be destroyed by fire, is a physical judgment that will precede the spiritual judgement of all of humanity in the lake of fire, where the curse of humanity will be taken away through that judgement that will purify and save all mankind, as it is doing right now in the lives of those who are having God’s wrath poured out upon them in this life (Rev 20:8 , Rev 14:9-13).
1Co 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1Co 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
1Co 3:13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
1Co 3:14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1Co 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.Rev 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
